🌞 Meet the Georgia Farmers: Sunshine Farm - Stories from Our Dedicated Growers

ree

Location: Walton County, Georgia Farmers: Vilma & Aldo Ramos

At Sunshine Farm, the journey began with the cluck of chickens and a dream rooted in health and sustainability. Over the past 34 years, Vilma and Aldo Ramos have nurtured not just a farm — but a way of life centered on clean growing, year-round harvests, and the joy of feeding their community.

Aldo’s love of growing things blossomed into a formal calling when, 17 years ago, he became a Certified Master Gardener and was appointed Vice President for the Master Gardener program across Walton, Barrow, and Jackson Counties. His leadership and dedication made it clear: growing food wasn’t just a hobby — it was a mission.

“From the beginning, my goal was simple — to grow vegetables free of fertilizers and chemicals, for a healthier life,” Aldo shares.

🍅 From Tomatoes to Fruit Trees Sunshine Farm began with humble rows of tomatoes and peppers, but has flourished into a diverse, year-round operation. Aldo continues to expand what he grows — adding new crops each season and even planting fruit trees to fulfill a long-time dream of a truly abundant, sustainable farm.

His care and passion can be tasted in every bite — whether it’s sweet peppers in summer or hardy greens in winter. Sunshine Farm is a living example of what can be accomplished with vision, dedication, and a deep respect for the land.
