For the past decade, Healing Path Farm has been quietly inviting the community to slow down and reconnect — one blueberry at a time. Nestled off Barnett Shoals Road in Athens, this family-run U-pick farm is a place where berries, beauty, and biodiversity come together.

Owned by the Salguero family for over 30 years, the land has seen many creative farming adventures — even a Christmas tree farm at one point! But it’s the blueberries that truly found a home here. With ten thriving years as a U-pick operation, Healing Path Farm has become a seasonal favorite for families, food lovers, and anyone craving the simple joy of gathering their own fruit straight from the bush.

🌿 More Than Just Berries

At the heart of the farm is Anika, the eldest Salguero daughter, who keeps the land blooming beyond blueberry season. With a passion for gardening, she cultivates a wide variety of summer and winter crops, recently focusing on flowers for pollinators — and beautiful bouquets for sale. This fall, she’ll be adding pumpkins to the lineup, just in time for the harvest season.

“It’s about more than food,” says Anika. “It’s about sharing the land, caring for it, and helping people find something healing in the process.”

🐝 Stewardship and Sustainability

Healing Path Farm is also a conservation-minded space. Part of the property is in official land conservation, and the Salgueros are deeply committed to protecting native habitat for local wildlife. They recently added bee hives to support pollinators — an effort that echoes throughout their flower gardens and surrounding woodlands. Hooray for bees and biodiversity!

And there’s more to come: starting next week, a Farm Stand will open right on-site, offering fresh-picked blueberries, garden-grown goodies, and a chance to take home a bit of the farm’s magic.
