Oconee Farmers Market Weekly Newsletter
A Little Shorter, But Just as Sweet This Week โค๏ธ
This week's newsletter may be a little shorter than you're used to hearing from me! I've had a particularly busy week filled with appointments and life outside of the Market, so I haven't had quite as much time to put everything together.
โ
My apologies—but I promise I'll make it up to you next week!
โ
The good news is that the newsletter may be a little scarce, but the Market won't be! Our farmers, bakers, makers, artisans, and small businesses will be ready for you Saturday morning, and we hope you'll come spend part of your weekend with us.

๐ Fall Has Arrived at the Market
โ
Can you believe we're already nearing the end of September?
โ
The Market looks a little different now than it did in June or July—and that's exactly how a farmers market is supposed to work. We follow the seasons.
As we move farther into fall, you may notice fewer vegetables on some of our farmers' tables. Please remember that our farmers can only bring what the fields are giving them. After the heat and dry weather we've experienced, every harvest represents a lot of hard work.
โ
So please continue supporting our farmers with what they have available each week. Maybe you'll discover something you haven't tried before, or find a new way to use an old favorite.
โ
That's part of the fun of shopping seasonally!
๐งบ Don't Forget Our Makers, Bakers & Artisans
โ
Fresh produce may be at the heart of a farmers market, but there's so much more waiting for you!
โ
Take time to wander through the entire Market. Pick up something freshly baked, replenish your honey or preserves, discover something handmade, grab a gift, or simply stop and talk with the person behind the table.
โ
When you spend $5, $10 or $20 with a small local business, that purchase matters.
โ
Every Saturday you shop with us, you're helping a local farmer, baker, maker, artisan, or small business keep doing what they love.
๐ October Is Almost Here!
โ
October is going to be a fun month at the Oconee Farmers Market!
โ
We have our regular Saturday Markets, along with some special fall activities to look forward to.
October 17 — Oconee Fall Festival ๐
We'll be joining in one of Watkinsville's favorite fall traditions.
โ
October 24 — Harvest Fest at Wire Park ๐
Wire Park will be celebrating throughout the complex, and we'll be getting into the spirit too!
โ
October 31 — Our Final Regular Market of the Season ๐ป
We're planning to have a little fun with this one! Look for decorated tents, costumes, candy, and plenty of Halloween spirit as we celebrate the final Saturday of our regular 2026 season.
โ
And remember—October 31 isn't goodbye!
โ
We'll be back for special shopping opportunities in November, followed by Christmas at Wire Park on December 12 & 19. ๐
There is still plenty of Oconee Farmers Market left to enjoy!
โ
โค๏ธ Thank You for Shopping Local
We're entering the home stretch of our regular season, and we can't say this enough:
Thank you for continuing to show up.
โ
When you choose the Farmers Market on Saturday morning, you're choosing to keep your dollars in our community. You're supporting your neighbors. You're helping small businesses grow. And you're giving our farmers and vendors a reason to keep coming back week after week.
โ
So grab your market bag, bring a friend, and come see us this Saturday.
โ
The newsletter might be a little shorter this week...
โ
but we'll still have plenty of Market waiting for you! โค๏ธ
โ
See you Saturday!

Shop Local. Support Local. Be Part of the Community.
โ
Every time you purchase something at the Oconee Farmers Market, you're doing more than bringing something home.
You're supporting someone's farm.
You're supporting someone's small business.
You're supporting a baker, a maker, an artisan, a grower, or a local family working hard to create something wonderful.
And you're helping keep those dollars right here in our community.
That's what makes a farmers market special.
It's not just about what you buy.
It's about the people behind what you buy.
We'll See You Saturday!
โ
Whether you're a longtime Market regular or you're just discovering us for the first time, we hope you'll make the Oconee Farmers Market part of your Saturday morning.
Come early. Stay awhile. Talk with our vendors. Pick up something delicious. Find something beautiful. Bring a friend.
And most of all, enjoy being part of your local community.
Saturday mornings are better at the Market.
We'll see you at Wire Park!
