Vendor Spotlight: Whymss Farm
Since 2013, Whymss Farm has been dedicated to creating high-quality, handcrafted foods with a commitment to excellence in every product they offer.
In 2022, Whymss Farm expanded its operation by building
a USDA-inspected Multi-Processing Facility, allowing them
to produce an impressive variety of homemade goods. From
freshly baked scones and artisan breads to preserves, cookies,
candies, and nut butters, each item is carefully crafted with
attention to detail and quality ingredients.
β
Their motto, "Quality Over Quantity," is more than just a phrase
—it's a promise reflected in both the appearance and taste of
every product they create. Whether you're picking up a loaf of
bread, a jar of preserves, or a sweet treat, you can taste the care
and craftsmanship that goes into each batch.
Be sure to stop by and discover why Whymss Farm has become
a customer favorite.
Customer Spotlight: Melba Helf
β
At 85 years young, Melba Helf is one of the most dedicated and cherished members of our market family.
β
A proud mother of five, grandmother of fourteen, and great-grandmother of nine, Melba arrives at the market every Saturday
at 7:00 a.m. ready to help wherever she is needed. From setting up tents to assisting vendors, she is always willing to lend a
hand and help make the market a success.
During the market, you'll often find Melba helping at MA's Boiled Peanuts, greeting customers with her warm smile and
friendly spirit. When she's not helping others, Melba enjoys shopping the market herself. One of her favorite treats is the
blueberry scones from Whymss Farms.
The Oconee Farmers Market wouldn't be the same without Melba. Her kindness, dedication, and love for our community
embody everything that makes this market special.
Thank you, Melba, for all you do!
